On the last day in New York we went out to Ellis Island. Past the statue of Liberty, yeah yeah, whatever. Ellis Island and the museum of Immigration was the real thing to see! Feeling and seeing history all around you and imagining all those people passing through that island… We also met my bonus… Read More »
I haven’t shown you all my photos from New York yet! After the turbulent Halloween terrorist attack day with squirrels and costumes we had a good nights rest and headed out to the UN headquarters the next day. Sat in on the General Assembly discussing the embargo agains Cuba, kind of cool!! And then walked… Read More »
After Washington we spent a few days in New York. Gosh what a big place. And!! We are there the same day there was a terror attack. So totally surreal day from walking around looking at things, sightseeing famous places and buildings and squirrels and then suddenly seeing police cars everywhere… Anxiety and worry. I went to the US this last autumn, and crammed in a visit to both Washington and New York in five short days. I was as always interested in the details, colours and light around me. That’s why we got up at first light to go see the monuments in Washington.
This is all from the last day of our Sicilian holiday this summer. Catania. In the sweltering heat of July. Sunny, hot and full of life and history. We visited a lovely restaurant and just walked around the city centre most of the day.
Ah Sicily! We were there a week in July. So hot, so sunny, so nice! And we went to the tourist haven Taormina. Where everything is beautiful. So that makes it really easy to go crazy with the camera. So many beautiful details, interesting people, situations and lots of funny dogs!

It was rustic, modern, minimalistic, detailed, warm, artistic, light and alive. All at the same time. And we also ate a really nice dinner together all of… Read More »
Another day down south in Skåne we went for a walk on the beach and the hills close to Brösarp. My niece Elli met some old friends grazing the meadows. And we went down to the sand dunes and looked out onto the Baltic.
So, I went down south to Skåne this summer. To visit my sister. And take a break. And help out. And maybe see the beauty around me for a few days. Sometimes I forget to do that. It was a rainy first day. But lush and green. I went for a walk down to the shore…. Read More »
During my latest trip to Thailand I practiced some street photography and stealing looks and faces from people I didn’t know. Or most of them anyway. While I might be a very natural and confident portrait photographer with my clients and friends I find it quite hard to just to get the photos I’d like… Read More »
We went to Lithuania last year, spent a few days in Vilnius. It’s an interesting mix of new and old, restored and decadent architecture right in the city centre. I enjoyed the walks, the small narrow streets and alleys. Birds on top of statues and buildings. Small details like pipes and signs on walls. Bugs… Read More »
Walking around a city I like being a tourist and snapping the tourist shots but I also am drawn to details in architecture and nature. These are just a few photos from a walk around Karlstad, and the Lars Lerin gallery.
